This is the 42mm PAM 1523, and it hits a sweet spot that a lot of Panerai collectors want but don’t always find: classic Luminor DNA in a size that wears comfortably on more wrists, without losing the presence that makes a Panerai a Panerai.
The standout here is the white dial. It’s clean, high-contrast, and pairs incredibly well with the brushed steel case. It feels less “tactical” and more “nautical instrument,” especially with the warm-toned lume and the blue seconds hand adding just enough color without getting loud.
You still get the full Luminor experience: crown guard, bold numerals, sandwich-style depth, and the unmistakable silhouette. But at 42mm, this one wears flatter, tighter, and more versatile.
