Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m 'Golf' - 231.10.42.21.01.001
For sale is this Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Golf Edition with the black Teak Concept dial and green accents. Omega introduced the Golf Edition in 2011 to celebrate its growing presence in the game, and it takes everything that makes the Aqua Terra such an easy everyday watch and gives it some personality.
The green is used with restraint. It adds just enough color to set this apart from a standard black Aqua Terra without turning it into a novelty piece, so it works with a suit as well as it does on the course. The 18ct white gold indexes are polished and faceted, and they catch light against the vertical lines of the Teak dial, so the dial reads crisp at a glance and shows real depth up close.
On the wrist, it wears slim and refined. At 12.95mm thick, it slides under a cuff easily, and the bracelet makes it a watch you can wear all day without thinking about it.
Inside is the Omega Co-Axial calibre 8500, a proven movement. It was the first Omega calibre built entirely around the Co-Axial escapement, George Daniels' invention, which reduces friction inside the movement. For you, that means longer service intervals and precision that holds up over years of wear. Twin barrels give it a 60-hour power reserve, so you can take it off Friday evening and it will still be running Monday morning. The hour hand also sets independently, which is a genuinely useful feature if you travel across time zones. It's a certified chronometer, and through the display caseback you can see Omega's Geneva wave finishing on the rotor and bridges.
There is a lot to appreciate here. You get an in-house chronometer, a manufacturer warranty that runs to 2029 and a dial with a story behind it, in a package that's comfortable from day one.
This is an Aqua Terra for someone who appreciates a proven, in-house Omega movement but wants something a little more distinctive than the standard black dial.
