The Bel Canto’s claim to fame is the striking hour mechanism, built on a heavily re-engineered modular architecture that took several years to develop. Every hour, the hammer hits the sprung gong with a clean, crisp chime that feels far more refined than the price point would ever suggest. It’s a complication you normally only see from brands 5–10x the cost.
The openworked dial shows the hammer, cam, and star wheel in motion, giving the watch a kinetic, mechanical presence without being overly busy. The blue finish has depth and subtle iridescence, and the titanium case keeps the piece extremely wearable despite its visual complexity.
Inside is the Christopher Ward Calibre FS01, based on the Sellita SW200 but heavily modified to accommodate the striking module. The finishing is solid, the engineering is clever, and the whole package feels like a serious horological project rather than a design exercise.
Condition: This example will come in good, used condition. There are very minor handling marks on the case with most moderate wear concentrated to the bracelet and clasp. The bezel, crystal, and dial are flawless. The watch is keeping excellent time according to the timegraph machine and does not require a service at this time.
