For sale is a 2014 Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 in black. This is the first-generation Heritage model that came before the ceramic bezel and Tudor-based movement, so it carries the cleaner, more vintage-accurate aesthetic that a lot of collectors still prefer.
The gloss black dial, minimal text, and long, tapering hands give the watch its signature 1950s-inspired look. At 46mm, it wears large, but the slim bezel, long lugs, and subdued case profile make it more balanced on the wrist than the dimensions suggest. The polished surfaces and simple layout also give it a dressier feel than most modern divers.
Powering the watch is the Breitling Caliber 17, based on the ETA 2824,an easy-to-service, reliable movement with no surprises. The first-gen Heritage design pairs that movement with the early-style bezel insert and the classic mesh bracelet, which many still consider the most “correct” look for the line.
