The Breitling Endurance Pro is one of those watches that makes a lot more sense once you put it on your wrist. At 44mm, the dimensions sound substantial, but the Breitlight case is so lightweight that the watch barely feels like it's there.
This example is finished in navy blue, which I think is one of the best colors for the Endurance Pro. The blue bezel, inner flange, crown, and chronograph accents give the watch plenty of personality, while the black dial keeps everything from becoming too loud. It's sporty and colorful without looking like a novelty watch.
The dial has a lot going on, but Breitling does a good job keeping it readable. Large Arabic numerals dominate the layout, with the chronograph registers tucked neatly into the background. The red accents add just enough contrast, and the pulsometer scale around the outside fits the athletic personality of the watch particularly well.
Inside is Breitling's thermo-compensated SuperQuartz chronograph movement. I'm normally much more interested in mechanical watches, but the quartz movement makes a lot of sense here. It's extremely accurate, grab-and-go convenient, and perfectly suited to a watch that's designed to be worn without much thought.
I added one of my personal straps to this one, a blue Breitling Outerknown NATO strap, and I think it completely changes the watch. The color is a fantastic match, and the NATO gives the Endurance Pro an even more casual, purpose-built look. It's such a natural combination that it looks like something Breitling should have offered from the factory.
On the wrist, this is just a fun watch. It's big without feeling heavy, colorful without being obnoxious, and comfortable enough to wear all day. If you've ever liked the Endurance Pro in photos, I think the lightweight construction and this particular strap combination make it considerably better in person.
