This is the Breitling Avenger II Chronograph A1338111, a 43mm pilot’s chronograph that leans more “instrument” than “jewelry.”
The Avenger line has always been about durability first. Thick case walls, oversized screw-down pushers, aggressive rider tabs on the bezel. This isn’t a delicate chrono. It’s built like something that expects some serious turbulence.
The black dial with contrasting silver chronograph registers gives this one a subtle panda feel. The small hits of red on the central chronograph seconds hand and the 30-minute counter add just enough pop without turning it into a toy. It’s sporty and it still feels serious.
The dial is clean and legible despite being a full chronograph layout.The large applied numerals, bold hands, and proper contrast make it easy to read at a glance.
The pushers have that solid, mechanical feel you expect from Breitling. No mush and no play. The bezel action is tight and positive, and the overall finishing walks the line between tool and luxury. It’s brushed where it should be and polished where it adds contrast.
Inside is the Breitling Caliber 13 (based on the Valjoux 7750 architecture), COSC-certified and proven. It’s nothing exotic. It’s reliable. It’s easy to service and built to run.
At 43mm, this wears strong but not absurd., If you want a chronograph that feels substantial and purposeful, this is it.
Condition: This example will come in good, used condition. There is minor scratching throughout the case indicative of frequent wear. There is one small dent on the 1:00 lug. It doesn’t take away from the watch. The watch is keeping excellent time according to the timegraph and does not require a service at this time.
